Day 1: Tuesday - November 12th - 8am-6pm (Classroom Portion)
Day 2: Wednesday - November 13th 8am-6pm (Range)

Day 1: Classroom Portion
8am-5pm (8 hours)
Lesson 1: California DOJ Firearms Safety
Lesson 2: California Firearms Storage Laws
Lesson 3: California Prohibited Locations for Firearms
Lesson 4: California Laws & Regulations – Moral & Legal Aspects
Lesson 5: California Criminal and Civil Liability
Lesson 6: Use of Force / Self Defense / Deadly Force
Lesson 7: De-Escalation of Force
Lesson 8: Carry Modes & Handgun Concealment
Lesson 9: Dry-Fire / Unholstering drills from Concealment
Lesson 10: Final Exam

GOVERNMENT ISSUED IDENTIFICATION
Day 2 Range Qualification
8am-6 pm (8 hours)
LASD Standardized Course of Fire for Certification
• Target: NRA standard B-27 target
• Round Count: 72
Course of Fire:
• 24 rounds fired without time limitation at each of the three specified distances.
• Firing Distance: 3 yards, 5 yards, 7 yards
• Minimum passing score: 70% of rounds fired at each distance (17 of 24 rounds) must score within the 7-ring of the B-27 target.
Other requirements:
• The student shall be required to safely load, unload, and reload their handgun during the course of fire.
NOTE:
Initial Qualification is for one (1) handgun assigned to CCW permit.
You can have a total of 3 handguns assigned to your CCW permit.
YOU MUST qualify with total of 72 rounds as the initial course of fire per handgun on your permit.
Additional cost is $50 for the 2-3 extra handguns.
EQUIPMENT NEEDED
Your Personal Handgun you will Conceal Carry
Inside the Waiste or Outside the Waiste Holster for your Handgun
3 Magazines per handgun
1 conceal carry magazine holder (2 magazine pouch)
72 rounds per handgun to qualify.
